January 2011-Terry L. Jones, Director of Healthcare Services for Teachout Security Solutions, has earned the designation of Certified Protection Professional (CPP®).
Throughout the world, the Certified Protection Professional (CPP®) designation is acknowledged as the security profession's highest recognition of practitioners. It is evidence that an individual is "Board Certified in Security Management." In order to earn this credential, Mr. Jones had to comply with stringent eligibility requirements, including demonstrating that he had met certain education and/or work experience qualifications. He had to pass a comprehensive examination that tested his knowledge and skills in major areas of security management. In order to maintain this credential, Jones must apply for recertification every three years, at which time he must submit evidence of continuing professional development. He is one of only 5,500 active CPPs® who have obtained this coveted designation since this certification program was instituted in 1977.
The CPP® is administered by ASIS International, the preeminent international organization for security professionals, with more than 35,000 members worldwide.
Mr. Jones has been with Teachout Security Solutions since 2007, bringing a security background spanning over 27 years. As Director of Healthcare Services, he has expertise in training and consulting in healthcare security, strike security and workplace violence. In addition to being an American Society of Industrial Security Board Certified Protection Professional, Terry is also a Senior Member in the International Association of Healthcare Safety and Security, a member of the Flint Chapter of the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), and a member of the Great Lakes Chapter of the International Association of Healthcare Safety and Security (IAHSS).
